The fact that Pedreguer’s business community is at the forefront of the best companies in terms of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) was evident at the Pedreguer Business Awards ceremony that took place this Saturday, in an event that was part of the Festa del Comerç (Trade Festival). The SDGs is an initiative that was adopted by the United Nations in 2015 as a universal call to put an end to poverty, protect the planet, and ensure that by 2030 all people can enjoy peace and prosperity. The awards, which return after the pandemic, have sought in this sense to recognise the merit and commitment of Pedreguer’s companies in three lines of OSD in particular: gender equality, affordable and non-polluting energy, and responsible consumption.
The award in the field of gender equality went to Tacte Social, which was nominated together with Avellà Gràfiques and Farmàcia La Creueta.
In the field of energy, Solnet was the winner of the award, which also went to Solarays Energy and Fresdental.
Finally, as regards responsible consumption, the proposal of Tossut Els Pouets was ahead of Helados Palacio.
The mayor, Sergi Ferrús, together with the manager of Creama, Rosario Donderis, the president of the Pedreguer Traders’ Association, Yolanda Cervera, and Alexandra Marín, Innovation and Sustainability consultant at CEEI Elx, took part in the prize-giving ceremony. Noèlia Miralles, Pedreguer’s councillor for commerce, acted as the event’s moderator.
